Donald Muir

Donald has over 30 years’ experience as a multi-lingual non-executive and executive director , with a highly successful global track record in distressed/rapid growth situations across public , private and listed environments .He has served on multiple listed and private company Boards in UK and overseas , as Chairman or NED , frequently with private equity or alternative lender involvement .

His international business expertise covers 30 years in the manufacturing and service sectors, having lived, and managed businesses, in UK, USA, Canada, France, Netherlands and emerging markets. Sector expertise includes telecom, technology, health, construction, oil and gas, power generation, banking, leisure and public sectors. Permanent roles include CFO BT Retail, Cable & Wireless (Global), Alcatel Alsthom (Canada) and CEO Telspec plc. Since 2004 Donald has operated independently, implementing many restructuring programmes including Northern Rock, NHS, Police, and Murray International. He has served on multiple listed and private company Boards, in the UK and overseas, as Chairman or NED, often with Private Equity involvement.

He is focused on the mid-market and large corporate areas in the Health and Telecom sectors, as well as organisations with major exposure to the Public Sector.
