He has worked extensively with boards, shareholders, lenders, and government stakeholders in both the public and private sectors, including listed, private equity-backed, and family-owned businesses.
Ian specialises in stabilisation, strategic repositioning, and performance improvement, with deep expertise in financial and commercial evaluation, governance, and stakeholder alignment. He has a strong track record of leading businesses through periods of operational and financial stress, restoring liquidity, and establishing sustainable platforms for growth, refinancing, or exit.
He has held more than 30 Chair and Non-Executive Director roles and has led numerous assignments as Chief Restructuring Officer, Executive Chairman, and Chief Executive. His sector experience spans infrastructure services, construction, healthcare, retail, media, technology, and telecoms, reflecting a highly adaptable and commercially focused approach.
Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Management Institute.
